Lab Launch with Senator Cantwell
Today we launched the lab to the local community. U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell was here to help us celebrate, along with representatives from the local venture community, local business, academic community and press. 
Big scissors seemed too cliché for a ribbon cutting ceremony, so we rigged up an igniter with ni-chrome wire to a Big Red Button and let the Senator detonate the ribbon in style.
With the launch of the lab, we are also officially launching the Intellectual Ventures Lab blog. We have been collecting a few projects over the past several months that might be of interest and will be sure to post more soon.
