These guys were amazing, their passion, drive and very sound approach to trying to solve heaver then air controlled flight, is inspirational. What was also great were the people who were driven to help the Wright brothers too. The mechanic who built the engine they used is another example to people driven to success for the right reasons. He knew his tools materials and was able to take a creative approach to solving the weight to horse power issues. I think it's a a must story for inventors.

Ideas behind the drink:

-replacing the ice with frozen fruit makes the drink taste stronger as the fruit melts rather than diluted when the ice melts. (Typical smoothie: frozen fruit + ice + fruit juice… reversing this is: frozen fruit powder, frozen fruit juice powder, and water)
-it is difficult to salvage a melted smoothie diluted with water from melted ice. Using frozen fruit powder and liquid, to salvage a melted smoothie, just add more frozen powder and liquid, then stir
-For serving 10 people different smoothies, it takes about 30 seconds per person. Using ice and a blender takes about 3 minutes per person.
-Mixing the powder and liquid can be done manually, so artistic displays of mixing allow for increased price and customer satisfaction. It is difficult to feign sophistication and elegance using a blender.
-Fortified milk powder (infant formula) will increase nutrient content compared to milk powder.
-Bath and probe sonicators into home and commercial kitchens. Ultrasound is fun and is underutilized in drinks and cooking. Makes the tea stronger and speeds up dissolution.

Here is what I drink.

Create frozen powder from foodstuff (fruit, fish, mustard, blood, anything) using an ice shaver. I often make:
-frozen baked sweet potato powder
-frozen grape powder
-frozen watermelon powder

Use a liquid to mix with the frozen powder.
Liquid possibility:
Put a variety of tea leafs, sweet spices, and infant formula powder into an ultra sonic bath of water and sonicate until hot then filter through a dirty sock.

Add the liquid to frozen powder and mix until desired consistency.

It's probably healthier than Jamba Juice... And two employees from the Nestle baby milk help line did not have recommendations on dosage when using their infant formula in smoothies or other foods, so you'll have to experiment on your own.

Mr. Johnson: May I state unequivocally that you guys FAWKING RAWK. You and yours have demonstrated again that reason and refusing to be bound to a box of thinking that low cost ingenious solutions can be found that are not only effective, but bury the needle on the Cool-o-meter. This is the very reason I read MAKE, and give subscriptions for Christmas.

Please begin work on the following: a holodeck, better tasting tooth paste and warp drive. I expect them at the end of the week. (ha.)

Respectfully,

Jeffery Rackliff
